Bateau propre et en bon état général.
This is a relatively new boat (2013) that is in excellent (not perfect) condition. Both Christian and Vincent were really helpful for the check-in. When we performed the inventory, all of the important items: radio, GPS, safety equipment, PFDs, charts, binoculars, etc. We asked for an extra fender (or "pare-bat") because we had to dock with just two folks aboard and they got it for us right away. They let us park our car for free all week and kept an eye on it. Boat was clean and fresh smelling when we boarded.
The cruise itself: amazing. I can't say enough about the natural beauty of Corsica and the northern isles of Sardinia. If you want to see the Mediterranean unspoiled (so much better than the south of France), I definitely recommend the West/South coast of Corsica. For the boat, the anchorage was perfect. The boat has a well-maintained windlass; every 10 meters is marked on 50 meters of chain. There is a remote to lower an raise anchor and a line to act as a damper in windy conditions (frequent on the West coast.) The sails and lines are in great condition. The mainsheet doesn't have tell-tales, which is odd, but I just had to pay more attention the sail itself when trimming. The GPS was very accurate for this rocky (and somewhat treacherous) coastline. One really needs to be aware of rocks and fishing buoys at all times. Cabins--comfortable and clean. Head and shower: in good condition, good working order. Showering on a sailboat is never that fun, but the pump worked great, etc. Everything in galley was in great shape and worked well. The layout of sink, fridge, propane stove made for easy cooking. (We ate most meals onboard because the scenery was better than any 5-star restaurant.)
Due to everything being accessible from the cockpit and having perks like the lazy jack, windlass,, etc., the boat was easy to sail with just 2 onboard, even though it's pretty big. If it helps: my spouse is an "expert" sailor and I am at the intermediate level.
In short, if you have a chance to rent this boat for a decent price (which we had a week before French kids get out of school), I definitely recommend this boat. We'd love to take this trip again. I can't say enough about how kind and helpful they were.
Un loueur dans une petite structure mais très sérieuse et efficace.
Le bateau est en très bon état. Il mériterait d'avoir 1 winch de plus (car il faut partager ceux de la GV et du génois). Le bateau est bien équipé pour un séjour côtier, mais n'est pas vraiment équipé pour une croisière hauturière car pas de BIB et pour la VHS c'est une portative uniquement. A refaire!
Super accueil,super bateau, état impeccable mais comme souvent dans les locations petite surprise de dernière minute: pas de pilote automatique!!

Je ne critique pas ici le loueur mais je parle de manière générale.
Honnêtement jamais je n'aurais loué ce bateau si j'avais su que le pilote serait absent....
Je peux comprendre que les loueurs travaillent en flux tendus et n'ont pas trop le temps de prévoir les réparations et entretiens entre deux locations mais vu les heures d'embarquement et de débarquement pratiquées je pense qu'une équipe de maintenance devrait avoir le temps d'agire.
