June 2019
We’ve boarded a catamaran with family and friends from Salerno and went through Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia and Procida for a week. What an amazing region! Discovering this coast and those islands from the sea left us with precious and beautiful memories! Our skipper made it so memorable too! He taught us a lot about some of the architecture pieces, the history of the place, gave us tips on what to do absolutely and taught us how to cook a few Italian dishes with fresh local produce. My only slight criticism was having to go back to port the night before the check out was due as we were hoping to stay one more night mooring somewhere for an early swim in these cristal bleu (and warm) waters before giving the boat back. We’ll come back and do two weeks instead next time to avoid the frustration.

This location was a little demanding to get into from airport, however once we were all in the get away on vessel was fantastic, easy access to open water. The staff onsite could not have been nicer efficient. Corsica accessible with charter, definitely make mooring reservations if possible, get bikes and use them. Do not be put off by the hill towns.

Pristine catamaran with every luxury you could think off. Even chilled carbonated water from the drinking water tap in the galley. Perfect space for a family of 6. Skipper Maurizio and hostess Patrizia were friendly and relaxed, nothing was ever a problem the cruise itinerary and the service was faultless. As soon as Maurizio knew what we liked he delivered it every day. Highly recommended.

1. About the boat The boat is in very good condition. It's also very stable with the strong wind. We had up to 20 knots but no problem with the mobility (easy to tackle). Even though the boat is 4 meters bread, we did 9.8 knots. It's equipped with the rolling main and you need to work at the mast. Luxury front cabin with private toilet and shower. A lot of space to put your stuff. We were 4, but the boat is suitable for 6 (it's 3 cabins). There is no outside chart plotter (only inside). Same with VHF. We used a mobile phone with Navionics and we had one crew member with a VHF license. 2. Charter company Everything went very fast. Both check-in and checkout. Very good instruction on check-in. You can also rent a paddle board for 100 EUR. The damage deposit is very high - 3500. The company highly recommend to secure it in advance, including skipper responsibility insurance. It costs around 380 EUR extra and you need to arrange it by yourself in advance. 3. Sailing in North Sardinia Even in June, it's better to reserve the spot in the marinas in advance. Especially in Bonifacio where you need to do it at leet one week before! Be careful, some marinas are expensive. We stayed in the La Maddalena and Santa Teresa di Gallura and paid 35 EUR per night (June prices). In other places, you can easily pay double. It's always a good/ strong wind. Could be uncomfortable if you decide to spend the night on anchorage. If you do it then put an extra chain and make sure the anchor holds well. Also check the weather forecast as the wind may change the direction. We went to the fog close to Bonifacio. Make sure that the crew knows where is the horn. Always call the marina on VHF to get assistance. Try to be there are before 18.00.
